Student Achievement

We are proud of our students and their achievements. In the academic year 2022-2023, the average GPA of enrolled MUP students was 3.8. Approximately 75% of students had an internship or other paid employment while enrolled in the program, ranging from transportation to housing to data analysis and design, employed by a range of cities, organizations, and private firms. The program surveyed recent graduates of the program. Among the respondents, 86.7% of the 2021 graduates are currently employed in a planning or design-related job or planning-related field. Furthermore, alumni provided testimonials to the strengths of the program: “The small class sizes, studio work with real local projects, and the ability to do a professional project tied to my internship were all strengths of the program.” “Professional connectivity and networking. The program provided a connection to professionals via the Professionals Council which are actively engaged in the planning practice in a range of specializations.” “The foundational urban planning knowledge….
